Samsung Galaxy S Android update by end of September
Samsung Galaxy S - FroYo love coming soon
Got a swanky new Samsung Galaxy S? Doubtless, you’re loving this ultimate Android blower, but will probably know that it’s waiting on a bump from Google to make it even more of a mobile power house. Good news, then, gadget fiends, as the Galaxy S is set to make the jump to ‘FroYo’ in September.
‘FroYo’, or Android 2.2 to give it its official title, has been kicking around for a while now on the mighty Nexus One, but now Samsung UK has tweeted to say it’s bringing the stellar upgrade to its greatest handset ever.
What will it do? Well, for starters it adds a new homescreen tips widget and an all-new camera interface to make touch controls even easier. But best of all, it turns your Android phone into a Wi-Fi hotspot which you can share with eight other devices. Basically, it’s the future.
While Sammy hasn’t been forthcoming with a specific date, it is time to get excited. FroYo will certainly make one of the coolest phones ever even cooler.
