Samsung Galaxy S - 5 million sold

The Gadget Show  Wednesday 06 October 2010

Samsung Galaxy S - 5 million sold 5 million of these bad boys are already out in the wild

The Samsung Galaxy S is arguably the hottest Android phone going. Massive screen, stunning specs and the very latest software all combine to make it a true iPhone beater. And now Sammy has confirmed that its topped 5 million sales worldwide.

That’s mighty impressive seeing as it’s only just been put up for sale in Japan, where it wild doubtless do the business. Word is that of those 5 million, a whacking 2 million were sold in the States.

Samsung is certainly giving HTC a serious fight for the position of Android’s biggest exponent. And the battle has only just begun, with the Galaxy S-rivalling HTC Desire HD coming in the next couple of weeks.

This doesnt suprise me, it does look a very good phone. I have been looking into buying one for the past month, but have held out for the HTC Desire HD as it seems better made and more importantly has a camera flash- which was the one reason I didnt get the Galaxy S

Got mine for a week now and i am absolutly delighted about it! My verdict matches the GS experts, spotless but the very fragile looking back cover. A hiteven for the apple lovers!

Easily the best phone I have seen or used. Potential i-Phone killer. Just need a top-notch Office app to make it brilliant.

it is good, but not as good as the iPhone 4, which has the edge in terms of build quality, app selection, stills and video quality and ease of use.

this must be the best phone ive ever had and i was blown away when i first switched on the phone from the bright colours, high in detail on the massive OLED screen WOW. also the phone has not got a built in battery as the rubbish apple gear, thats why i never buy anything these days with built in battery. the price of the phone is half of what the iphone 4 is asking for,too over rated in price. 9/10 for samsung, just what it lacks it the higher megapixel camera and flash
