Samsung AF310 all-in-one: an iMac beater? Slim and sexy: it's Samsung's new AF310 all-in-one

When it comes to all-in-one computers, Apple’s iMac pretty much rules the roost. But Samsung is looking to change all that with its newly announced AF310, a great-looking new all-in-one boasting some seriously advanced tech under the hood.

It’s certainly easy on the eye, an impression that’s unlikely to change once you switch the AF310 on. It features a 23in full HD LCD display complete with a slender 11mm bezel, while full 3D video and audio support is there when you want to get into some 3D gaming action (with the obligatory specs, of course).

Under the bonnet is an Intel Core i5 processor, backed up by a full terabyte of storage, while support for the latest USB 3.0 standard means you can scoot files back and forth at 4GB per minute.

Speaking of USB, the AF310 comes with USB charging ports that can charge up your gadgets even when the computer is switched off, while you can also make use of its on-board speakers to play back tunes from another device via Bluetooth.

Overall the Samsung AF310 looks a mighty all-in-one that may just have the iMac’s measure. The only downside is that it’s Japan-only for now, where it’s just gone on sale for the equivalent of just under £1,200. We’re told a European launch will come in due course, however, and from what we’ve seen so far it sounds well worth waiting for.
