Money? Pay by text instead!
Beem's pay by text service lets you pay for stuff with your mobile phone
Cash? That’s so 15th Century. Chip & Pin? Stick it in the bin, we say. Apparently the best new way to shop is via Beem – a free service that allows you to create an account that syncs with your mobile and bank for easy payments by text message.
You can even transfer money from your bank to your Beem account via text. Sounds about as safe as keeping your money in an Icelandic bank? Don’t fret Chet. It’s totally secure. Should you lose your phone, your money’s protected from nasty crims by your Beem and debit card password.
At the moment only a few taxi firms, pubs and universities are on board with the new system, but with plans afoot for it to play a part in the London 2012 Olympics it might actually take off. Well, we did say might…

Dude, So you'd rather mess around with money making sure whoever you're sharing a taxi with who promises that if you pay they'l pay you back in stead of each sending a quick text and then not having to think about it again? Think of it, no more picking up coins from the taxi floor after you've dropped them in a drunken stooper or getting stuck with the bill because people only have notes to pay in. Sending a text is quick, easy and secure. Plus if your going out for a night out why wouldn't you have money in your account? Would be a rather dull night without money.
