Rock Band 2 PS3, Wii and PS2 dated for UK

The Gadget Show  Friday 27 February 2009

Rock Band 2 PS3, Wii and PS2 dated for UK PS3 and Wii owners will soon be shredding and wailing along to Rock Band 2.

While Xbox 360 owners have been jamming merrily to Rock Band 2 since last year, poor old PS3, PS2 and Wii users have been left out of the rhythm game party – but not for much longer.

Rock Band 2 maker Harmonix has revealed that the game will hit both the PS3 and PS2 on 23rd March, with a Wii version following on 20th April.

Price were also mentioned, with the game-only edition for costing £49.99 for PS3, £29.99 for PS2 and £39.99 for Wii. As per usual, expect to find all three for less if you’re willing to shop around.

Standalone guitars and drums will be available for £39.99 and £49.99 respectively, while you can buy both bundled with a microphone for £89.99. Oh, and game-and-instrument bundles will also be on offer: £119.99 for PS3 and Xbox 360, £109.99 for Wii and PS2. Phew.

Hi, My daughter bought for fathers day present a SFG UNIVERSAL GUITAR which I thought was brilliant! I went out and bought the ROCK BAND Wii game to go play it. Loaded up the programe and it then asked for a MICROPHONE to be conected! I don't want to sing, believe me you don't want to hear me sing. Can't get past that point. So I have the Guitar and I have the program but not one sound have I been able to try to play, so I am not impressed by Rock Band. The other programs,Wii Fit, Wii Active and Wii Sports are great and I think the Wii machine is excellent. Any suggestions? regards John Carter
