The Zero MX: taking electric bikes off-road
You may remember the Zero S electric motorbike we were raving about a couple of months ago, well now the company that specialises in creating zero-emission riders has done it again with those motorcross beauty: the Zero MX.
At first glance you might think “But Gadget Show, that looks exactly the same as the Zero S”. Well, it’s very similar. The give away that the Zero MX is for off-road are those grooved tyres. But that’s not all that’s new, the shocks, gears fork and wheels have all been modified so you can leave the tarmac and not worry about ruining your bike.
The Zero MX has also been designed for performing bigger jumps, thanks to the inclusion of a new high-performance suspension system and a beefier front end. But the best bit? It’s electric, so while you’re tearing up Mother Nature, you won’t be ‘tearing up’ Mother Nature. If you know what we mean. Prices start at around $8,250 (or around £5k if you only work in Sterling).
