Pure Sensia adds Picasa to the mix

Pure Sensia adds Picasa to the mix Pure Sensia – Radio with pictures

The Pure Sensia is adding Google Picasa to its list of interactive features that already make it one of the best-connected radios on the planet. The free photo-editing and sharing software will appear on the internet-connected digital radio and will allow users to browse all their Picasa albums straight from the Sensia’s screen rather than fire up a PC.

Picasa fans will be able to view a customisable slideshow of their snaps from a list of albums either on Sensia’s visual panel or full screen.

The Sensia already totes social networking smarts including Facebook and Twitter as well as weather reports. The new functionality is available through a free download from www.pure.com. The Sensia is available from major retailers for £195.

2.0 has just been added by automatic update to my Sensia and now the Internet radio doesn't work properly. Keeps cutting out. Who wants Picasa anyway. Why can't they just leave things alone and stop fiddling.

What stations are you having trouble with, or is it all of them? Have you tried a factory reset? I recommend raising a ticket at http://support.pure.com/newticket.php Josh

I had trouble with all stations. Did reset as you advised but had to wait couple of days for other half to give me the network key. Seemed fixed during the two hours I used it since back on network. This morning though it's been updated with 2.1 so who knows, perhaps there was a problem. Thanks for advice.

Had my Sensia 7 months and this morning it tried to upload the 2.1 software update - now getting message to say it needs a USB lead upload (one wasn't even provided in the box). So I have looked on the forums and it says you have to have Windows PC to get the firmware to carry out the update via USB - guess what - I have a Macbook! ANYONE OUT THERE - DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!
