Prada phone by LG 3.0 officially out of the closet
The new Prada phone by LG 3.0 has been officially launched. As expected it’s a slick looking fashionable affair with catwalk style oozing throughout.
The latest Prada is the third time the phone and fashion companies have launched a handset, and the first time sporting Android. Because gadget beauty is also skin deep, lets take a look at what else it has to offer.
The Prada phone comes dressed in what Prada calls Saffiano leather on the back cover. The rest of the design throughout is kept minimal and actually does look rather fetching.
Of course the real meat comes in the features. The Prada phone by LG 3.0 features a 4.3 inch display, a 1GHz dual-core processor 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage for files, photos and video.
For taking photos the Prada phone has an 8 megapixel rear camera, and a 1.3 megapixel camera on the front for video calls. The latest NFC technology lets fashion conscious phone owners pay for goods using their mobile phone as a digital wallet, or exchange information with another NFC-capable phone by touching it.
The rest of the standard features include Bluetooth 3.0, HSPA+ support and Android 2.3.7 Gingerbread lashed with the exclusive Prada interface. So that means no Android Ice Cream Sandwich – the latest Android operating system, then.
The new Prada by LG 3.0 phone will launch in the UK in January 2012. A price tag has yet to be attached.
