Polaroid and RealD release trendy 3D shades
Polaroid 3D – specs with style
Polaroid and RealD have teamed up to create a range of 3D specs that you can wear without shame. 3D fans can wave goodbye to the cheap and plasticky efforts doled out at your local cinema and opt for a pair that you could proudly wear out on the street.
The Polaroid and RealD specs are indeed dual-purpose – they’re 3D-enabled sunglasses, which explains the emphasis on style as well as smarts. The shades are made with polarised, UV-protecting lenses, so you can step straight from the beach to your nearest cineplex .
The range of stylish custom frames will also work with passive 3D broadcasts from 3D-enabled TVs, so you have an excuse for wearing your shades indoors for once. Sure beats those paper red and blue efforts.
UK prices are yet to be confirmed, but expect them to be heading to our heads soon…

Yay!!! About time someone used their noodle! Wonder what it would be like in daily use? Have you noticed how polarised sunny's allow you to see inside car windscreens without reflections? With these one eye would have clear sight while the other would not. May be a strange effect. A lot of people complain of headaches when watching 3D movies - could it have the same effect in daily use? Time will tell I guess. :o)
