Pioneer launches S-DJ05 speakers for budding DJs

Pioneer has launched a new pair of speakers aimed at DJs and producers who require studio-style reference speakers for accurate sound reproduction. The secret to these high-end super-speakers is the curved enclosure, so the sound spreads even and wide – perfect for getting the party started!

So-called ‘active reference speakers’ are intended to give as accurate a reproduction of sound as possible, without enhancements such as increased base or mid-range as you might have on a pair of home speakers. This enables a producer to get a feel for the music in order to manipulate the sound desk as required to get a certain effect.

The Pioneer S-DJ05 are an affordable set of active reference speakers that would suit a small studio or work well as part of a home system. The S0DJ05’s have a curved enclosure to direct sound over a wide area, ensuring that you should get decent reproduction wherever you stand and they have a built-in linear equalizer for fine-tuning the frequencies.

The speakers also come with a four-source input switcher that will let you quickly swap multiple device inputs so you can hook them up to a PC, decks or live instruments as required.
