Panasonic TM25: pocketable full HD cam
Small and light, but plenty powerful
Pocket camcorders are all the rage these days, but Panasonic has taken a slightly different approach to things with the newly announced HDC-TM25.
Instead of the now-familiar vertical form factor brought into fashion by the likes of the Flip Mino, the TM25 is a conventional camcorder, but one so light and dinky that it’s able to take on the pocket cam brigade at their own game.
It weighs in at just 169g and is only a touch over four inches long, yet Panasonic has still managed to find room for a full HD sensor, 16.8x optical zoom, 8GB of internal storage an a 2.7in screen.
Other goodies crammed into the TM25’s tiny shell include twin microphones, the standard SD card slot and mini-USB and HDMI slots.
Panasonic says its latest compact contender will start shipping in Japan from February 25, with the rest of the world to follow in the months to come.
