Panasonic monster TV spits out world’s blackest blacks
A 65-inch TV with the blackest blacks in gogglebox-land? Yes please!
Shamed by the size of your television? Pals unimpressed by its girth and performance? Well, Panasonic may be able to help you, brother. Yes, you too, sister. Because this behemoth of a plasma screen measures up at a whopping 65 inches.
That’s not even the Panasonic TH-65VX100’s biggest claim to fame though. Panny reckons this plasma screen has the world’s highest native contrast ratio – 60,000:1. What that means is it puts the smackdown on Pioneer’s KURO range of tellies and produces blacks that are blacker than a coalminer’s burnt sausages.
It’s got a professional grade 1920×1080 resolution display with class-leading 18-bit colour for smooth dark-to-light gradation and gets its impressive black levels from some new tech dubbed “Dynamic Black Layer.”
What all that means is state-of-the-art visuals that are smooth, incredibly detailed and dripping with colour. Now, speaking of “dripping”, wipe that drool from your face. We know it sounds appealing, but that’s no reason to lose control of yourself, man!
