Panasonic Lumix DMC-G3 Compact System Camera launched, boasting 3D lens
We’ve seen quite a few new Micro Four Thirds cameras over the past year, with the the Panasonic Lumix DMC-G3 the latest addition to the market. Looking like a mini DSLR, the G3 has a lot to offer, from its touchscreen display, to the ability to add a 3D lens.
The new Panasonic Lumix DMC-G3 is a compact system camera (CSC), and is worth a look if you’re considering switching from a compact camera to a digital SLR. It offers many of the plus points of an SLR – such as the large sensor, the ability to control your photographs or switch lenses, but it’s also smaller and easier to manage.
In fact, Panasonic claims the Lumix DMC-G3 is the company’s smallest and lightest digital interchangeable lens camera to date. That doesn’t mean it’s lacking in features, either. You’ll find a 16-megapixel sensor, and the G3 is capable of shooting 1080p Full HD video.
Distancing itself from other Compact System Cameras, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-G3 gets a full touchscreen display, offering useful features such as the ability to focus by tapping on an area of the screen.
You can even buy a new 3D lens for the Panasonic Lumix DMC-G3, which is capable of shooting both 2D and 3D images simultaneously.
