Our favourite Gadget Show clips of 2011
It’s been a great year for gadgets, with devices like the Samsung Galaxy S2 and Nokia Lumia 800 proving just how far technology has progressed. We’ve loved covering it all, and even enjoyed coming up with our own super gadgets – it’s been brilliant fun for all the gang here at the Gadget Show. Join us after the break for our favourite Gadget Show clips of 2011.
Battlefield 3 simulator Out of all the things we’ve done in 2011, nothing comes close to our Battlefield 3 sim. With 360 degree views, the ability to run as fast as you can in any direction, the ability to fire guns by… well… firing guns, and the fact that when enemies shoot you, it actually hurts, our Battlefield 3 simulator is like nothing else on Earth. Check out the video – we’re certain you’ll want a go yourself!
Top 50 gadgets for Christmas 2011 Although it only made an appearance on the Gadget Show recently, our top 50 gadgets clip highlights all you’ll ever need to stay entertained over the festive season. We particularly like the Sony HMZ-T1 3D Viewer – a headset that displays the equivalent of a 3D cinema screen – and other gadgets like the latest Amazon Kindle. You’ll have to watch the video clip to see our entire top 50 though.
Exoskeleton The Exoskeleton is one of the more exciting gadgets to make an appearance during 2011, and we had to travel to Germany to try it out. The creation offers an entirely new way for humans to control robots, with electronics that can be worn, and robots responding to human reactions. It’s an amazing feat of engineering and technology, and it’s well worth having a look at the video.
Gadget pranks! We’ve had a lot of fun on the Gadget Show over the past year, with our Gadget Pranks video being particularly cruel towards unsuspecting members of the public! In this video, Jason teamed up with professional trickster Paul Zenon, and the result is shocking (literally), amusing and of course childish!
King of smartphones II A chance for you – the public – to vote for your favourite smartphone, the King of Smartphones II is the second time we’ve tried to track down the world’s best smartphone. Check out the video clip, check out the specs, and please do vote for your favourite handset.
