Orbis to take on Segway?
The Orbis: a Segway wannabe... only smaller
If walking’s just a bit too old-fashioned for you, or you’re just too lazy to stick one foot in front of the other, then check out the Orbis – a mobile device that’s about as half as big as the Segway it wants to be.
Okay, so the Orbis has a smaller footprint than the Segway, which naturally leads to easier manoevrability in tight spots. It also folds down for easy storage and has a top speed of 13mph – which is faster than most people can run. Unless you’re Usain Bolt of course.
It’s completely portable, battery powered, and looks altogether cooler than the Segway. The only problem? The Orbis is still only a concept at the moment. Looks like the Segway still rules the sidewalks then. Or at least it would if we knew who bought them in the first place. Aside from the Chinese riot police that is.
