Orange snaffles up LG Touch watch phone

Orange is set to do some wristy business, offering the LG Touch watch phone in the UK

Ah, watch phones. Generally the preserve of sci-fi flicks and the bins of electronics companies. Not so with the LG Touch watch phone, which we first saw at CES in January, because this call to arms (ha, ha, HA) is coming to the UK via Orange.

When the LG Touch watch phone is arriving is another matter, because nobody’s saying. Still, when you’ve got something as retro-futuristic (is that even possible?) as this, toting HSDPA connectivity, video calling, media playback, web browsing, a resistance to that gadget kryptonite – water, you’re prepared to grudgingly wait.

The LG Touch watch phone looks likely to arrive in the summer, at which point you can expect adults everywhere doing Dick Tracy/Star Trek/James Bond impressions.
