Orange OPC all-in-one amp and PC

Orange OPC all-in-one amp and PC

The Orange OPC is a curious mixture of amp and computer, and promises to be the perfect gadget for serious musicians. Along with a high-powered speaker, there’s everything you need to make and edit music built-in, including some impressive software.

From the front and top, the Orange OPC looks like a traditional amp – albeit a very bright one. A grill covers the speaker – as with a regular amp – and you’ll find a row of buttons for adjusting treble, bass and volume, with inputs for different instruments. There’s also a robust strap for carrying it between gigs.

Look a little more closely, however, and it becomes clear that the Orange OPC has more to offer. There’s a slot for a CD or DVD on the top of the amp, for instance, and look at the rear and it’s more like a PC. You’ll find the usual array of computer ports and inputs – from VGA and HDMI for monitors or screens, to various USB ports and more.

PC features include a high-powered Intel Core i3 processor, 4GB of memory and a 500GB hard drive for storing all your music. When it comes to music, the Orange OPC comes with over £700 of software for editing your tracks, making this gadget ideal for songwriters or those looking for a one-stop solution for playing, editing and storing music.

Available now, the Orange OPC costs £1224.
