Orange and T-Mobile to create "super-network"
Orange and T-Mobile get cosy
Orange and T-Mobile have just announced the first firm details of their previously announced merger, which includes a completely new company name – Everything Everywhere – plus the creation of a massive “super network” nationwide.
The biggest news for customers of Orange and T-Mobile will be a planned single “super-network”, promising bigger and better coverage for customers from both brands – meaning that there should be less network drop-off points. The merger will also see customers able to roam across both networks later this year with no added charges.
As it stands, the companies will remain separate entities on the high street – retaining their different branding and shops, but behind the scenes, Everything Everywhere will be merging the customer support and network services from 1 July, forming the world’s largest communications company – with over 30 million customers worldwide.
