On a Mission to save the planet
To be more precise we're on the eco-friendly electric bike, the Mission One
Do you think Chesney Hawkes was talking about the Mission One when he was singing about the One and only? Probably not, but he should have been. You see if this was the one and only bike on the planet, we wouldn’t have to worry about our impending Armageddon. Why? Well, if it had arms it’d be hugging some trees. This, you see, rides down the electric avenue.
So when will this awesome green gadget hit the roads? Around 2010, with only 50 planned for production next year. But it’s not just any old electric bike that tootles around at 25mph. This looks mean, and rides even meaner. Charge up the battery and you’ll be able to hit the heights of 150mph (in permitted zones of course).
Being electric it’s dead silent, too. Which is a shame if the big growl of a superbike is what you crave. And how much will it cost? Well, with a price tag just shy of £50,000, it’ll empty your wallet, but at least you’ll be doing your bit for the planet.
