Mju Tough 3000 – perfect holiday snapper
Olympus has just announced that its latest ultra-tough compact, the Mju Tough 3000, is hitting the shops this month. The waterproof, shockproof and freezeproof little cam is a a perfect snapper for the holiday season, and is guaranteed to survive the most butter-fingered on owners.
The Mju was first announced at CES at he start of the year, but now it’s finally available to happy snappers in the UK and is waterproof to 3m, shockproof to 1.5m and freezeproof to -10°C – just in case you’re planning to travel to the Arctic Circle this summer.
Under its tough little bonnet, you’ll find a 12-megapixel sensor, 3.6x optical zoom,1GB of internal memory and the ability to shoot HD video. There’s also a unique Tap Control function lets you operate the camera by tapping the body – handy if you’re wearing gloves or are underwater.
Added imaging goodies include image stabilisation, AF tracking and advanced face detection. There’s also four fun filters: Pop Art, Fish Eye, Sketch and Pin Hole.
The Mju Tough 3000 costs £199.99 and is on sale now.
