Nokia N96 gets BBC iPlayer
The Beeb comes to the N96
BBC fans will now be able to catch their fave shows on the Nokia N96 after the Finnish phone fanciers collaborated with the Beeb to add BBC iPlayer to its many skills.
Whether you’ve missed an episode of Eastenders or just want to get your daily fix of Adrian Chiles on the One Show (and who wouldn’t?), you can catch up via your N96 thanks to the telly-friendly BBC app.
Users will be able to download and stream the shows over 3G and Wi-Fi wherever they are. No more having to be at a desk to catch up on what you’ve missed. It’s the perfect distraction from all the potential nutters sitting opposite you on the tube to work.
The show saver will come pre-loaded on future Nokia handsets or can be downloaded via www.bbc.co.uk/mobile.
It’s yet more great news for those who pre-ordered the N96, as it was also recently announced that the phone would be getting an earlier-than-expected October release.
