Nokia's top-end, eight-megapixel camera phone starts shipping

Phones have recently been getting flashier, LED flashier to be precise. The Nokia N86 is the Finnish phone company’s premier camera phone and it’s shipping now!

Thanks to an eight-megapixel sensor, a variable aperture, and a pedigree Carl Zeiss Tessar lens, the Nokia N86 storms onto the shelves as an awesome camera-cum-mobile option. Forget your usual mobile phone blurry snaps, the Nokia N86, thanks to Automatic Motion Blur Reduction, will take fuzz-free snaps of your subjects – unless you’re papping Noel Edmonds.

It’s not just about the pics (although that’s a large part of the Nokia N86’s appeal). This sexy slider also has a 2.6-inch AMOLED screen, 8GB internal memory that’s expandable up to 16GB via SD card slot (which will hold 8,000 photos!), video and music playback, A-GPS and digital compass, N-Gage, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

A pretty impressive camera phone, then, and one that should be high up on the list of shutter bugs everywhere.
