Nokia Kinetic concept stands up to deliver your calls
Nokia Kinetic – stand up, look sharp
The Nokia Kinetic is a rather novel concept handset that literally “stands and delivers” when you have a message. Designed by Jeremy Innes-Hopkins, the Kinetic rouses itself into an upright position when it gets any messages or calls.
Using a moving electro-magnet housed in the bottom of the handset that shifts the weight distribution to allow the phone to pop up of its own accord. If you don’t fancy taking a call, just tap the handset and it’ll retreat back to its horizontal position.
As mentioned, this is just in concept stage at the moment, but what do you think? A neat idea? Or would the pocket bulge in the base be a little off-putting? Let us know in the comments section below…
