As well as outing two new dual-SIM budget phones in the C1 and C2 today, Nokia has also found time to squeeze out a handy new charger for anyone that uses pedal power to get around – a bike-powered Nokia charger kit.
The kit consists of a dynamo and a DC-14 phone charger and a holder to strap on to your bike. Once it’s all strapped up, your handset will top up with juice when your speed is between 6 km/h and 50 km/h. Nokia claims that efficiency of a normal charger is reportedly reached when speed is 12 km/h, so if your pedaling is powerful, you’re laughing.
The charger itself is fitted with a standard Nokia 2mm jack. The Nokia bike charger kit will apparently be available “before the end of 2010” from selected retailers and the Nokia online store.
