Nokia 5250 budget touchscreen launched
Nokia 5250 – budget smartphone
The Nokia 5250 has just got official. It might look like its pricey brother, the Nokia X6, is much less expensive – although it does forgo a couple of key features. Read on to find out how it stacks up…
Specs-wise, the Nokia 5250 sports a 2.8-inch display with 640×360 resolution, a two-megapixel camera and 2G connectivity to keep the battery going for up to 18 days in standby. There’s no 3G or WiFi and it comes running Symbian S60.
The Nokia 5250 will support microSD cards up to 16GB in size, and the whole package is set to ship for just under £100 in the latter half of the year.
What do you think? Is it a cheap price for a smartphone? Or does it lack too many key features to be much use? Have your say below.

I am looking for a new phone for every day use and this looks very nice. Shame it's only 2G. I've got used to using 3G and I don't want to take a back step. On the plus side I think it would be an ideal first phone for kids or the elderly.

I have the 5230, which comes in at £75 with Tesco Mobile PAYG. Has 3G but not Wi-fi, similar screen, same camera (no flash either). Reckon this is a much better bet.

Nice new phone but needs the extra 3g and wifi. For these reasons i wouldn get it for me but i do like the nokia 5530 that is a bit more expencive. If this phone had wifi i would get it but i would never get a phone with out wifi
