Nok Nok. Who’s there? The new Nokia 6260
Nokia’s latest mobile gives us a slide show
Looks just like any other old Nokia, right? You couldn’t be more wrong, brother. This is the Nokia 6260. Admittedly, it has more than a hint of its older sibling, the 6220 Classic about it, but what this has that the 6220 doesn’t is a slide-out keyboard.
What that means is, apart from working in some serious style, “girlfriend”, it keeps the phone’s profile trim and allows for more room for the delicious screen. Other features include Wi-Fi connectivity and a more-than-respectable five-megapixel camera for taking massive pictures of your fizzogs.
Nokia’s also thrown in HSDPA connectivity into the bundle, as well as photo/video sharing using its Ovi service, and navigation via A-GPS and Nokia maps. Because a phone’s just not a phone without satnav these days…
The mandatory music player and web browser also feature, and there’s a “hot key” that, far from scolding your digits, will access main features at the press of a button.
Out early next year, the Nokia 6260 will cost around €299 (or about £250 in Sterling, sir) without a contract, or will be free if you sign up for 18 months. Can’t say fairer than that.
