Nikon D3s snaps into officiality!
Awesome Nikon camera gets jaw-dropping price
If you like your cameras to be big chunky and with the sort of spec spec that would make a paparazzo turn green with envy then check out the Nikon D3s – the latest DSLR camera to be made official by photographers’ favourite Nikon.
The Nikon D3s looks reassuringly chunky (no wafer-thing compact silliness here) and it’s sporting the specs to match. It struts onto the snapper catwalk with a 12.1-megapixel FX CMOS sensor for sizeable prints, and has an Hi3 ISO setting of 100-102,400. That means shots should look as impressive in low-light as they do in daylight.
Elsewhere you get a new Dust Reduction System, the ability to fire off snaps at 9 frames per second, and 720p HD video shooting at 24fps (1080p would have been nice, but you can’t have everything).
As we know however, with big specs comes a big price. And it’s no different with the Nikon D3s. This bad boy is hitting stores in December with a whopping £4,199.99. Perhaps if you ask the girlfriend nicely she’ll get it for you for Christmas. Or perhaps not.
