The Nokia N97 Mini: it's a lot like the N97... only smaller

Recall the Nokia N97? Nokia’s flagship handset that has more talent than a packed out arena of X Factor contestants? If you remember that then you’ll no doubt recall that we mentioned a slimmed-down version, the Nokia N97 Mini, was on its way. Well, Nokia’s just given us a release date: October 23!

A quick reminder then of the Nokia N97 Mini’s skills: first up is that slimmed-down frame and shrunken touchscreen, which now measures a petite 3.2 inches. It’s still got that slide-out QWERTY keyboard with the most sensual of hinges around, as well as some new software skills.

As confirmed by Nokia on its Twitter site, the N97 Mini will be hitting the Regent Street flagship store on October 23. The actual announcement by Nokia read: Flagship news: N97 Mini to be sold in store from 23 October.” A better use of 140 characters we can’t think of. Unfortunately they must have ran out of space as there was no word on pricing! As soon as we hear any word, you’ll be the first to know!
