Motorola Milestone comes to the high street
The Motorola Milestone is now available onthe high street, with news just in that Carphone Warehouse will be stocking the Android 2.0-powered wonder. Up until now, the handset has only been available SIM-free from online retailer eXpansys, but now you can choose from a variety of contracts at Carphone.
Known in the US as the Motorola Droid, the Milestone has failed to make as much of a splash this side of the Atlantic, but the plan to punt in over 350 stores nationwide may change its fortunes.
You’ll b able to choose tariffs from T-Mobile, Vodafone and Orange – and you can even pick it up for free on a 12-month contract, if you’re prepared to pay £50 per month, but the best-value deals seem to be £30 per month on 24-month contracts.

I've tried a few carphone warehouse stores in Wales & Midlands wanting to see a milestone "in the flesh". Staff say "we've had lots of people come in to see one but we don't stock them - try the website". I'm almost convinced to get one but not untill I can touch it! Do any highstreet stores stock this item? Else I'll do a Paul Potts - and go elsewhere! Ray
