Motorola Droid 2 gets official
Motorola Droid 2 – the Android invasion
The Motorola Droid 2 has gone up for sale in the US today – although it’s ahead of any official confirmation from the company itself.
US network Verizon has put the Motorola Droid 2 up for order on its website today. The handset, which has suffered more leaks than a boat made of colanders, features Android 2.2 FroYo complete with Flash support and hotspot feature, as well as the usual suspect of 3G, HSDPA and Wi-Fi.
Under the hood, there’s 8GB of storage, a 1GHz processor and DNLA support and the QWERTY slider has been given a spruce up too – although the screen remains at 3.7inches.
The Motorola Droid 2 is on sale at Verizon for $199 on a 24-month contract. There’s no word yet of UK pricing and details.
