Monster unveils Miles Davis tribute headphones

The Gadget Show  Thursday 29 October 2009

Monster unveils Miles Davis tribute headphones Miles Davis Tribute Jazz Headphones: not all blue, surprisingly.

Monster has already launched headphones inspired by Dr Dre and Lady Gaga, and now jazz legend Miles Davis has been given the earbud treatment. The Miles Davis Tribute Jazz Headphones (phew!) are described as delivering “the ultimate jazz experience”, and Monster claims they have been tuned with the “unique acoustic tones” of jazz in mind.

That means you’ll apparently hear details in the music that you’ve never experienced before – although we’d imagine that that all depends on what kind of speakers or headphones you’re accustomed to. If you’re already listening to Kind of Blue on a pair of £1,000 Sennheiser HD 800s, then we’re not sure that the Miles Davis earbuds, which retail for around £230, will add a great deal to your experience. But until we give ‘em a whirl, it’s too early to make a judgement.
