Mimo Magic Touch: World’s first USB capacitive touchscreen

USB accessories don’t come much more desirable than this. What you are looking at is the Mimo Magic Touch. It is the world’s first USB-powered capacitive touchscreen monitor, capable of displaying high definition video and acting as both a second television and a hub for your favourite apps.

The Mimo Magic Touch is a 10-inch 1024×600 pixel resolution touchscreen that connects into devices using a sole USB cord to provide its power and images. A bit of a luxury, perhaps, but just imagine using one of these as a mini television in the home office, or as an entertainment or social networking hub on the side for apps such as Twitter or Facebook.

The Mimo Magic Touch can also be used to give your desktop or laptop the tablet-like touchscreen functionality it’s missing. At less than an inch thick, the Mimo Magic Touch shouldn’t take up much space wherever the device is plonked.

Currently available as the ten-incher you see above, the Mimo Magic Touch will be available in another model due for pre-order soon. The Mimo Magic Touch deluxe will add a two port mini-USB hub and a separate AC power adapter for more convenient charging.

Pre-orders for international shipping have just begun, with a view to guaranteed Christmas delivery. The Mimo Magic Touch is available to pre-order now for $299.99, while the Mimo Magic Touch Deluxe will set you back $329.99. So expect to pay thereabouts in pounds.

1024×600 just to say that this is not the size of a full hd 1080 tv at all, this is a lot smaller than full hd resolution.
