Microsoft lets Arc Mouse out the traps

Microsoft lets Arc Mouse out the traps Work your desktop from the confines of your cosy bed

While Apple was screaming from the rooftops about its fancy new iPods, its old adversary, Microsoft, was just as busy – launching the Arc Mouse.

It’s not just any mouse, though. This little beauty’s spruced to the nines. Like Minnie when she’s planning a hot night in with Mickey, it’s dressed in a slutty black and red number, and because it’s wireless and folds up for easy storage, it’s the perfect add-on for computing on the fly.

If you happen to be torn away from your computer then no worries, you can still use the Arc from 30ft away – that’s roughly the equivalent of four and a half Brandon Rouths head to toe. And to make out what’s on the screen from there, you’d probably need superman’s vision. The Arc Mouse will be available later this month for around £50.

Also lurking was Microsoft’s BlueTrack mouse capable of working on any surface from woods, carpets and even, er, mud. In mouse terms it’s a real daredevil though and handy for working in inhospitable conditions, like Starbucks. You’ll be able to pick up an Explorer Mouse (£70) and Mini Mouse £350) when they creep out this October.
