Medion Akoya P6618 beats the budget!
Introducing Medion's budget-beating, wallet-saving laptop: the Akoya P6618
Everything about the recession sucks – job losses, money worries, collapsing housing market – the only thing we can smile about is when we get awesome tech at cheap prices. Enter the Medion Akoya P6618 multimedia notebook – a laptop with all the big boy trimmings but a price that won’t leave your wallet emptier than fridge in a fatty’s kitchen.
Here’s the spec lowdown: The Medion Akoya P6618 has a 16-inch TFT widescreen HD display that’s complemented by integrated stereo audio. There’s a multi-format otical drive, but no Blu-ray drive unfortunately. You’ll have to plump for the Akoya P8610 if you want that. Processor-wise it’s got an Intel Core 2 Duo T6600 2.2GHz processor, and an NVISIA GeForce 9600 GS graphics card. The spec’s rounded off with 4GB of memory and 500GB of storage space.
As for the connections, well, this has Wi-Fi, HDMI, three USB ports, a 4-in-1 card reader and an eSATA port for hooking up external hard drives. But you want to know the price, right? Well, this nifty laptop will cost just £599.99. That’s right, just 600 smackers and you’ll get this well-specced lappie. Can’t say fairer than that now, can you?

It actually has 4 USB slots, that eSATA port doubles up as another one.
