'Luxury' Samsung Galaxy Tab costs £635
What price luxury? €749, apparently
We’ve said before that despite being one of the best tablets money can buy, we wish getting your hands on the Samsung Galaxy Tab didn’t require quite so much of the stuff.
But the standard Galaxy Tab now looks like a bargain compared to the new Luxury Edition Samsung is flouting for €749 (£635) until the end of January.
So what valuable extras is Samsung showering you with for the addition of nearly £200 to the asking price? A special edition leather case, and a Bluetooth headset – that’s all.
The upmarket slate was shown off at the Millionaire Fair in Amsterdam recently, and will be on sale from tomorrow until the end of next month.
We can only imagine Samsung thinks the exclusivity of its upmarket Tab will attract well-heeled tablet adopters – though given the Galaxy Tab itself is entirely as standard we’re not so sure. And its cause surely won’t be helped either by Samsung currently offering £200’s worth of free content when you sign up for the standard Galaxy Tab this side of Christmas.
