London Eye gets Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1s to interact with London skyline
As tablets computers grow in popularity, companies are finding alternative uses for them, such as plonking them in a giant ferris wheel high above the Central London skyline.
Starting this month the London Eye will feature a number of Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablets installed in each capsule to let visitors interact with and learn about landmarks that can be seen from the Eye.

Each capsule will get six of the tablets, to be used to grab details and information on landmarks nearby and afar. 3D models of sights will also let users learn more about key buildings than they ever could just from looking at them.
The content was created using 360-degree non-stop 24-hour filming, and months of work to deliver the experience on Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablets being placed in each London Eye capsule, sure to give visitors and tourists an extra perspective on the view below.
At the moment, only a handful of the capsules have been fitted with the technology. The entire fitting process is due for completion in May, when all the pods will be fitted with the fascinating technology.
