We’re all for clever ideas bringing gadgets together in a triumph of convergence, but here’s one we didn’t see coming.
Peripheral king Logitech’s latest mouse isn’t a piece of hardware at all – it’s an app that turns an iPhone or iPod touch into a mouse instead.
That’s right, the latest applicant for a place on the well-stocked iTunes App Store shelves is Logitech’s Touch Mouse app, which turns the Apple gadget into a wireless multitouch trackpad..
Install an associated piece of software on your PC, download the app to your iPhone or iPod and you’re good to go. It supports multitouch, two- or three-button mouse control, two finger scrolling and extra Ctrl, Alt and Command/Windows keyboard keys for complex functions.
The iPod’s screen will even show you what it is you’re doing, while both landscape and portrait modes are supported. The Logitech Touch Mouse app is available now.

Had this for ages on windows mobile, except the WinMo version is a developers tool, meaning its freeware! come on apple, catch up, we all know the best, most useful apps are created by users not corporations!
