LG takes it to BlackBerry
LG + BlackBerry = stylish QWERTY keyboard-toting handset
What do you get if you take all the savvy business smarm of the BlackBerry and cross it with the sexy style of an LG mobile phone? The LG GW300. Now here’s the good news, folks. It’s coming to good old Blighty!
The LG GW300 mobile phone will be hitting these shores with a BlackBerry-style full QWERTY keyboard, making it ideal to tap out emails and messages. For da yoof and grrovy elders it’s got all sorts of social networking skills to get to grips with: we’re talking email, Facebook, and IM for starters. There’s even a LiveSquare app that links your contacts to their online Avatars. That means you can recognise who is trying to contact you and take the necessary action (ie hang up!)
What else does the LG GW300 offer? Well, for starters it has a plush 2.4-inch display and a nifty little five-way navi-pad for skipping around the UI and webpages. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack and FM tuner. There’s even a MicroSD card slot so you can fill it up with 4GB’s worth of data.
There’s still no news on when we’ll exactly be seeing it, but O2 are going to stock a fetching electric blue version, while Orange has nabbed the vibrant red LG GW300!
