LG GD900 to hit the catwalk in May
The LG GD900: more than just a pretty fascia...
Remember the LG GD900? You know, that transparent phone that cause such a stir at Mobile World Congress this year. Well LG’s only, ahem, cleared up a few of the details about the mobile phone for us, including when we can get hold of the handset.
First up then, that release date: LG says that the GD900 will launch as early as May. Which is good news for anyone after a new stylista mobile. But it’s not all about the fashion. That see-through keypad does have its uses, most notably it’ll support multitouch and gestures.
What that means is that users will be able to configure their favourite shortcuts using Gestures. It all sounds pretty fancy to us, but that’s not all. The LG GD900 will also use the touchpad as a sort of touch wheel for the music player – similar to an iPod’s.
As if that wasn’t enough, the LG GD900 also has a full touchscreen display and it boasts the new S-Class interface. You know. The one that the the LG Arena’s been showing off. Roll on May…
