Lexmark details sleek Genesis printer

Lexmark details sleek Genesis printer Smart and good-looking: it's the Lexmark Genesis

Printers typically don’t score too highly on the gadget desirability front, so hats off to Lexmark’s latest ink-slinger, the surprisingly svelte Genesis.

The looks certainly set the right tone here, with Lexmark’s vertical form factor having turned traditional printer design quite literally on its head.

But this is more than just clever sleight of hand, there’s a whole bevy of clever tech treats on board to appeal to any gadget fan’s sensibilities.

Touchscreen? Check. Wireless printing? Check. Printing straight from Facebook? Check. It’s an impressive spec list, and the Genesis goes about its business quickly too: its 10-megapixel Flash Scan camera, for instance, is able to scan and print documents in just seconds.

This potentially game-changing inkjet all-rounder is expected to launch early this year – in the US and Canada, anyway – and is expected to cost around $300 (£190).
