LEGO Rock Band gets Bowie!
Legendary musician gets immortalised in virtual brick form; played guitar
Forget Ziggy playing the guitar. Now you can play guitar as Ziggy playing the guitar. Confused? Allow us to elaborate. LEGO Rock Band has just unveiled its latest character, and it’s none other than Ziggy Stardust himself – David Bowie.
We’d already heard that Iggy Pop was going to be in the game, and now it appears that David Bowie is following suit. The legendary musician whose hits include Life on Mars, Ziggy Stardust and Let’s Dance, has now been immortalised as a virtual LEGO character in LEGO Rock Band.
From the screenshot it appears it’ll be Bowie from the 80s, dressed in white shirt, braces and open tie from the Let’s Dance video. harmonix has confirmed that fans can play as Bowie while singing Let’s Dance, which will be included in the play list.
Other songs confirmed for LEGO Rock Band include Blur’s Song 2, Carl Douglas’ Kung Fu Fighting and Europe’s The Final Countdown. Sound like some block-rocking beats. Get it? Block-rocking. LEGO. We’ll get our coats…
