Lego iBlock MP3 player spotted

The Gadget Show  Wednesday 04 March 2009

Lego iBlock MP3 player spotted iBlock - a (non-official) Lego MP3 player.

Now this brings back some childhood memories: it’s an MP3 player in the unmistakeable shape of a 2×4 Lego brick! Dubbed the iBlock, it’s a dinky gizmo aimed at the sort of person who might buy an iPod Shuffle.

Look closely and you’ll see the pegs on the block serve a purpose – they’re the playback controls.

There’s no internal storage, and users will need to invest in a Micro SD card for the purpose (a maximum capacity of 2GB is supported). Tracks can be transferred over USB connection from either a PC or Mac.

It’s out now, priced at around £30. And it’s not the only Lego-esque gizmo out there – we’ve already seen an iBlock iPod speaker system (possibly from the same company).
