Lego and Muji team up for brick-building Origami fun
Lego and paper in perfect harmony
Global toy brand Lego has formed an unlikely alliance with minimalist Japanese retailer Muji to mash up some typical Lego brick-building and the more prosaic paper-folding art of Origami in a single box.
The co-branded set comes with an assorted pile of predominantly white bricks – the Lego part – and several sheets of differently coloured paper – the Muji part.
The magic ingredient that brings the two together is a special Muji hole punch that creates holes perfectly spaced for the studs on Lego bricks. Throw in some templated designs and you’ve got all the ingredients you need to build your own plastic-themed Origami creations.
Sadly, there’s no word of the Muji-Lego sets making their way out of Japan for now, where they cost around £20 a pop, but we’ll be keeping our eyes open.
