Lamborghini HDD: for speedy data access

You may already know of Asus’ and Lamborghini’s partnership from the VX6 laptop the pair have collaborated on. Now the duo are back with a range of external hard drives claiming to offer speed worthy of the Lambo name.
Well, by range we mean two – a 500GB and a 750GB model – but when it comes to speed it does seem to be a fair claim. Asus has tucked in the latest USB 3.0 spec connectivity, while the platters inside spin at a speedy 7,500RPM.
But like any sports model, the high-performance credentials are only as good as the curves on the outside, and on that front the Lamborghini External HDD doesn’t disappoint. The aerodynamic jet back design should keep your precious files zipping back and forth with wind-cheating efficiency, and looks great into the bargain.
Details on price and availability are still thin on the ground, but we have been told slower USB 2.0 spec versions have been priced at $120 (500GB) and $140 (750GB), so don’t expect them to be cheap.
