Kindle iPad app details outed
Kindle for iPad – coming soon
The first details of a dedicated iPad Kindle app have emerged. Amazon hinted at the existence of a dedicated Kindle app for the iPad during last week’s Kindle for Mac announcement, and now it seems that more details have been divulged.
The New York Times has now seen the iPad Kindle app in action and has reported on its unique features, one of which is the neat touch of being to turn pages with a flick of the finger. Another cool feature is the ability to browse your entire eBook collection by cover (see picture).
Ian Freed, Kindle VP at Amazon says the iPad Kindle app uses a totally new interface: “We have actually developed a tablet-based interface that redesigns the core screen and the reading experience.”
The iPad is due on these shores in April so stay tuned for more details.
