Kindle for Mac finally arrives
Kindle comes to another device
Amazon has finally outed a Kindle app for Macs. The free beta app will join Kindle for iPhone, PC and BlackBerry as another way to access your Kindle titles wherever you are.
The app will work in over 100 countries (including the UK) and is only compatible with Intel macs with OS X 10.5 or over. It uses Amazon’s Whispersync tech to sync your titles across all your devices, so you’ll see the last page you read as well as bookmarks and annotations.
As the app is in beta, you can’t, for the moment, carry out a full text search or create editing notes, but these are coming according to Amazon.
The official press release also mentions a Kindle app specifically for iPad.
