iPhone 4 on PAYG at Vodafone
iPhone 4 – now on PAYG
The iPhone 4 is now available on pay as you go. Vodafone announced today that it would carry the iPhone on PAYG and revealed data allowances for the deal.
There’s a limited-time introductory offer for the PAYG iPhone 4 that gives 12 months data, although that’s capped at 250GB per month, so web addicts will have to keep a close eye on their downloads. The good news is that there’s also 12 months’ of BT Openzone WiFi access. This is capped too – at 1GB per month.
Prices for the iPhone 4 handset on Vodafone’s PAYG tariff are – £480 for the 16GB iPhone 4 and £570 for the 32GB version. A PAYG iPhone 3GS 8GB is also available for £380.
What do you think? Is the data allowance too stingy on the iPhone 4 PAYG? Let us know below…

Why pay £480 / £570 for a locked handset when the sim-versions cost £500 / £600 ??!! Now that's silly!!!

I thought unlimited data would be better, but I would probably use the internet more in the home through wifi than outdoors. Some might think you are mad to buy the iphone 4g on PAYG, but you are not tied into a lengthy contract and iphones tend to have a good resale value second hand, which could be put against a newer iphone model when it is released.

I've always found apple products to be too expensive for what they actually are. This is no exception. Although I do like the fact they are bringing it out on PAYG, its just too expencive for me... As for the downloads, I dont believe they would allow you to download 250GB per month, when the handsets are only 16 or 32GB, dosent make sense, mabye you mean 250MB (250GB is wayyyy to generous for thatunscrupulous company known as apple)? I for one, will not be buying this!

Its gotta be 250MB, its most probably just a typo. Thats why the comment at the end asks if it too stingy. No one can use 250GB on a phone. lol

What if you just want to transfer apps from your computer and just use it for phone/texting/camera features? Could I not join my home wi-fi network to download new apps (like I do on iPad) if I don't have a Data Plan? I thought I'd be able to just put same amount on it a month as I do my regular phone just as and when more credit is needed?

Ssshhee! In this time of so called austerity where do you lot get the money for these needless items. I agree that 250gb seems rather generous for Apple who are noted for wringing out every last nickle from a gullible public!!
