iPhone 3.0 software brings cut, copy and paste
Apple has gone beyond the call with its latest iPhone software upgrade
Apple has just announced the full details of its forthcoming iPhone 3.0 software upgrade. When the update launches this summer, the touchscreen mobile promises to be awash with new features, including the long awaited cut, copy and paste.
iPhone users have highlighted a number of shortcomings in their iconic gadgets over the past couple of years and it’s obvious that Apple has been listening closely. Features like cut, copy and paste, MMS, Stereo A2DP Bluetooth, landscape keyboard, 3G tethering – all have been asked for and all will soon be delivered by iPhone 3.0 software.
In addition, iPhone 3.0 software will deliver in-app micro-transactions, peer-to-peer connectivity, push notification from apps, upgraded Spotlight searches, automatic logins in Safari and more.
The list of remaining iPhone whinges is now very small indeed and the heat is back on those would-be iPhone killers such as the Palm Pre to come up with something new to make them stand out from beneath iPhone’s mighty shadow.
iPhone 3.0 software is due to launch this summer. It’s free for iPhone and iPhone 3G users, but iPod Touch owners will have to pay $10 for the upgrade.
