Incipio reveals iPod nano watch strap
Turn your iPod nano into a watch
It doesn’t take a huge leap of the imagination to see the latest iPod nano as a wristwatch, but Incipio is the first serious case maker to get a fully fledged product on the market with the Linq, a “rugged carrying solution” for Apple’s new player.
And in good news for aspiring nano-wearers everywhere, the Linq is less of a gimmick than it might first appear. Yes, it does demand that the nano be taken seriously as a watch, but it keeps up its end of the deal with a reinforced polymer casing that keeps the iPod protected from the majority of knocks while also housing an unobtrusive 3.5mm headphone jack on the side.
The strap element is a combination of nylon and velcro, and the whole affair is available in a choice of five colours to match the 6th generation nano itself.
We’re still waiting on price and availability details, but those – along with a slew of equally “innovative” rival concepts – will no doubt not be long in coming.
