Idapt superpowers your charging
The (high)lights of the charge brigade
One of the most annoying things about being a gadget fan is battery drain – your precious tech powering down at just the wrong moment. Well, worry no more – the Idapt range of desktop chargers will power up all our gadgets in one handy unit that keeps wire-tangle to a minimum.
You can choose between the £20 Idapt i2, which charges 2 gadgets at a time, or the Idapt i3 which, yes, you’ve guessed it, charges three at a time for a tenner more.
Both can charge oer 3,500 different products, should you have such a massive gadget arsenal, using a series of interchageable tips – there are six supplied with the kit that cover iPod/iPhone, microUSB, and the common Nokia and Sony Ericsson.
You can even buy extra tips and an AAA battery charger module. Say goodbye to cable clutter!

Nice to see a small step forward in tech with respect to powering devices. Although an even better step would be a universal power adapter (or preferably wireless) used by all manufacturers! But then again that's the kind of blue sky thinking that profit hungry monsters are unlikely to consider for a long time! That said, I have heard that some of the big mobile phone manufacturers are developing a universal power adaptor! I wonder where that idea went?

Hi Talanzar, the idea of universal charge it adapter is still in place the current nokia charger adapter fitting (along htc and a few others) will soon be the universal charge adapter. Moreover this will soon be used. More to the point to the phone manufactuer palm (maker of the palm pre) have made a semi-wireless charger as u just place ur phone on a special charge station (that still reuires a plug)but without any wires at all connecting to the phone. Which i think is pretty cool. However people who dont have a palm pre can still get the same type of charger from power mat there site address is: http://www.powermateu.com/pm_uk/home/ as you use something called a charge reciever, when u purchase this the receiver is already attached to the back for your specific phone. Just like on the palm pre. Also u can get wireless charge stations that are fully wireless, you can purchase them them wired or wireless aswell so u dont need a plug (battery operated) and do not need any adapter (for you gadget) all u need it one of their charge receivers. I have already 1 they are brilliant!!! Would definately recommend, they are a great investment and avoids the need for a universal charger from all manfactuars.

Hi I purchased an Idapt 3 at the gadget show in April and it is not working properly. Do you have the contact details of the manufacturers so I can contact them to discuss a replacement? Thanks
